About Fodderstompf.Com

We Only Wanted To Be Loved?

The main reason behind this site is to try represent Public Image Limited on the internet – lets face it – it's badly needed. To say PiL are underrated and misunderstood would be a vast understatement. We hope to go someway towards solving that.

If you're new to Public Image read our PiL Biography for starters…

Virtually everything and everybody is covered throughout Fodderstompf. Use the site as a guide and do some digging of your own. Form your own tastes and opinions. It’s all there, you've no excuses…

Fodderstompf was originally launched in February 1999 by "M". The PiL site for people who knew better. Unfortunately, over the next couple of years a severe illness made it harder for her to devote time to the site, and February 2001 saw her team up with Scott M (no relation) to collaborate on a new overhauled site.

Scott had previously been editor of the successful Sex Pistols / PiL fanzine 'The Filth and the Fury'. After finishing "F&F" in late 2000 he had been considering starting a PiL website (always his first love over the Pistols), and so F&Fodderstompf was born. However, soon after, due to illness, M decided to stand down and let Scott go it alone, artistic differences weren't even mentioned! Honest. Some features from the old site are still around so M is technically still involved; now taking up a mysterious 'Jeannette Lee' type role behind the scenes...

With the new site, came a new member, Karsten Roekens. A true gent, and an archivist of the highest order. Karsten works effortlessly in the shadows finding out information we shouldn't even care about!

PiL could be very tongue-in-cheek, and we will continue that tradition. Dishing the dirt if necessary. We're a Communications Company, not a website…

Fodderstompf is not an official PiL website, and has no need to be. However, we do have the support of many members, most importantly, including John Lydon. We actively invite PiL people to contribute with news, information and interviews etc. We're also looking for your contributions, so get in touch…

As we said, basically it's all here, now it's up to you... Now you're understanding, don't be vegetating…
